Diary

10th March (Wednesday) - PARISH PRAYER.

Each wednesday we meet to pray for our parish and the needs of the world. This takes place in St Swithin's, between Noon and 1pm.

10th March (Wednesday) - CMJ PRAYER MEETING.

This takes place at the home of Eric and is open to anyone wishing to pray for CMJ and Israel, from 7.30pm.

11th March (Thursday) - CRB TRAINING NIGHT.

This takes place in the Crypt Cafe 7.30 - 9.30pm. Contact Domi to confirm a place.

12th March (Friday) - PRAYER FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH.

A prayer meeting to pray for persecuted christians, from 10-11am. We are now joining Weston All Saints in their church center www.allsaintscentre. Please contact Helen for the location.

12th March (Friday) - QUIZ NIGHT WITH CURRY.

Profits will go to the Tearfund Haiti Appeal. Tickets cost £5 and the evening starts at 7.30pm in the Crypt Cafe.

14th March (Sunday) - MOTHERS DAY.

During Lent the subject is 'Prayer' with Holy Communion at 9am led by Rev Neville Pearce and Anne Holland at 10.45am.

The evening service at 6.30pm is a time of being 'Open to God' led by Rev Mike Wilkins.

15th March (Monday) - WOMENS FELLOWSHIP.

2.30pm at the Gateway, Snow Hill.

17th March (Wednesday) - PARISH PRAYER.

Each wednesday we meet to pray for our parish and the needs of the world. This takes place in St Swithin's, between Noon and 1pm.

20th March (Saturday) - ACTIVITY DAY>

Spring into life activity day for all the family from 10am till 4pm, at St Swithin's.

This includes a performance of "You Are Special" by the Freedom Theatre at 3pm.

21st March (Sunday)- FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT.

During Lent the subject is 'Prayer' with Rev Mike Wilkins at 9am and Sue East at 10.45am.

The evening service at 6.30pm is Holy Communion with Rev Peter Pullin speaking on the subject 'Right With God..Without Even Trying.'

25th March (Thursday) - PRAYER VISION GROUP.

A monthly prayer meeting at 1pm for the way ahead for our church. This is open to all with concerns for the future of Walcot. Contact Mary Warne for venue.

28th March (Sunday) - PALM SUNDAY.

During Lent the subject is 'Prayer' with Holy Communion at 9am led by Rev Simon Holland and Rev Peter Norman at 10.45am.

The evening service is 'SPACE' at 8pm. This week this service is at Hay Hill Baptist Church.

30th March (Tuesday) - EASTER @ CRANHILL.

One of our home groups leads an Easter celebration at Cranhill Nursing Home.

2nd April (Friday) - GOOD FRIDAY.

Awaiting details.

3rd April (Saturday) - CHURCH WALK.

We continue on from our last walk exploring the river to Newbridge. Details later.

4th April (Sunday) - EASTER SUNDAY.

9am traditional service followed with refreshments before the family service at 10.45am.

6.30pm evening service. AWAITING FURTHER DETAILS FOR ALL EASTER SERVICES.

6th April (Tuesday) - FUN CLUB.

Fish and Chips lunch at 'The Gateway' 12.30pm.

15th-16th May (Weekend) - St SWITHIN'S HOUSE PARTY AT HOME.

Phone Muriel Venning with your requests and they will be placed on the prayer chain.

• The Parish Church St Swithin's is now CLOSED for casual visitors until Easter 2010.
• On other occassions special arrangements can be made via the Church Office. (01225- 789168), or by arrangement through the Crypt Cafe staff.

CRYPT CAFE -(Tuesday-Saturday).

• Tuesday - 11am to 3pm.
• Wednesday - 10am to 3pm.
• Thursday - Noon to 3pm.
• Friday - 10am to 3pm.
• Saturday - 11am to 4pm.

MUMS AND TODDLERS.

Every Thursday, 10am - 12noon in the Church Cafe. At present we have a waiting list.
